Burton size advice: Burton boots tend to fit slightly smaller than standard sizing. For the best comfort, we recommend choosing half a size larger.
Men's Burton Waverange X Step On® Snowboard Boots
Who is it for? The Burton Waverange X Step On® is a men’s snowboard boot for beginner, intermediate, and progressing riders who want a softer, more playful flex with better fit control than the standard Waverange model. It works well for all-mountain riding, groomers, progression, and full-day snowboarding where Step On® convenience, easy handling, and more precise foot hold matter most.
Step On® convenience, playful flex, and precise Dual-Zone BOA® fit
The Burton Waverange X Step On® is built for riders who want the soft, surfy feel of the Waverange line with a more advanced fit system. The 3–6/10 flex keeps the boot forgiving, comfortable, and easy to move in, while adding slightly more support than the softest models. The Dual-Zone BOA® system lets you adjust the upper and lower zones of the boot separately, while the internal Internal Hammock helps hold the heel and ankle more securely while riding.
Key solutions and benefits
- Step On®: fast entry into compatible Burton Step On® bindings without sitting down in the snow or tightening traditional straps.
- Dual-Zone BOA® with Internal Hammock and TX3 laces: two independent dials allow more precise adjustment of the upper and lower zones, while the internal support system helps reduce heel lift.
- Asym Imprint™ 3 Liner: an advanced liner that improves fit, support, and comfort during full days on the mountain.
- DRYRIDE Heat Cycle™ Lining: a lining designed to support thermal comfort and help maintain a better microclimate inside the boot.
- Hook and Loop Closure: an additional liner closure that helps secure the inner boot around the foot.
- Articulating Cuff: a moving cuff construction that supports natural boot flex and helps maintain smooth flex without shell distortion.
- 1:1 Firm Flex PowerUP Tongue: a size-specific tongue that supports consistent flex and stable energy transfer to the board.
- X Flex Vibram® Step On® Outsole: a Step On® outsole with Vibram® EcoStep rubber for grip, durability, and a stable boot-to-binding connection.
- EST®: outsole construction that improves board feel and more natural energy transfer.
