Jones Mercury FASE® Snowboard Bindings
Who are they for? Jones Mercury FASE® are versatile and dynamic all-mountain / freeride bindings for riders who want quick response, stable board control and all-day comfort. The 4/5 flex provides strong support for carving and faster riding while still leaving enough freedom for a more creative riding style. The FASE® system also allows fast entry and exit without requiring special snowboard boots.
FASE® – fast entry with traditional two-strap feel
Jones Mercury FASE® use the FASE® Fast Entry System, combining the convenience of fast entry with the secure hold and adjustability of traditional two-strap bindings. The system works with standard snowboard boots, so there is no need for dedicated footwear or a special boot interface. Once the straps are initially adjusted, riders can enter the binding quickly while still retaining the ability to fine-tune the fit when needed.
Fusion XR – quick response and versatile board control
The Fusion XR Baseplate is an asymmetric, low-profile baseplate made from a nylon and fiberglass composite. It is designed to transfer energy efficiently from the boot to the board and provide direct board feel during all-mountain riding. Combined with the medium-stiff AsymFlex Highback, it delivers the stability needed for fast freeriding and carving while remaining more versatile than very stiff, maximum-response binding constructions.
Key solutions and benefits
- FASE® Fast Entry System: fast entry and exit while maintaining the secure hold and familiar feel of a traditional two-strap binding.
- Fusion XR Baseplate: asymmetric, low-profile nylon and fiberglass composite baseplate designed for quick energy transfer and direct board feel.
- AsymFlex Highback: medium-stiff asymmetric highback that provides strong support through turns while allowing more freedom of movement on the inside of the leg.
- Asym Spine: reinforced outer section of the highback improves response and energy transfer, while the more flexible inner section increases mobility.
- DualFlex Ankle Strap: ankle strap designed to provide secure boot hold while maintaining comfort and freedom of movement.
- Adaptive Fit Toe Strap: toe strap that adapts to the shape of the boot and provides stable hold over the front of the boot.
- ImpactCush Footbed: cushioning that helps reduce vibrations on firm and uneven snow while absorbing impact during harder landings.
- 3° Canting: a slightly inward-canted footbed helps place the legs in a more natural riding position.
- Tool-less Strap Adjustment: allows strap length adjustment without tools.
- Alloy Buckles: lightweight aluminum buckles provide durability and precise strap adjustment.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do Jones Mercury FASE® bindings require special snowboard boots?
No. The FASE® system works with standard snowboard boots. You only need to choose the correct binding size and properly adjust the straps for your specific boot model.
What is the difference between Mercury FASE® and Zenith FASE®?
Mercury FASE® has a more versatile character and a medium-stiff 4/5 flex. It provides plenty of response and stability while leaving more freedom for everyday all-mountain riding. Zenith FASE® is noticeably stiffer and more performance-focused, designed for maximum energy transfer, high-speed riding and demanding freeride terrain.
Are Mercury FASE® bindings suitable for freeriding?
Yes. Freeriding is one of the main intended uses of this model. The Fusion XR Baseplate, AsymFlex Highback and dynamic flex provide strong support for fast riding, carving and variable terrain.
Are Mercury FASE® bindings also suitable for freestyle?
Yes. Mercury is not a dedicated park binding, but the more flexible inner section of the AsymFlex Highback and the versatile flex provide enough freedom for tweaks, switch riding and more creative all-mountain freestyle.
