Ride Manic Snowboard

Easy, versatile all-mountain board for learning and further progression

The Ride Manic is a directional all-mountain snowboard designed for beginner and intermediate riders. Its soft flex makes it easy to control and forgiving of mistakes, while the camber profile provides the right balance of stability, control and energy through turns. It is a very good choice for riders who want to develop their skills on one versatile board.

Characteristics

Directional camber combines camber between the bindings with rocker at the nose and tail. The camber profile provides strong edge hold, control and responsive pop, while the raised tips make turn initiation easier and make the board more user-friendly during the learning process. The directional shape and setback stance help maintain stable, natural handling in a wide range of conditions.

Control and easy handling without excessive stiffness

The Manic’s soft flex makes the board easy to work at lower speeds, so it does not require a lot of strength or highly precise technique. The Quadratic Sidecut improves turn entry and exit as well as edge hold, while Linear Carbon increases pop and ollie power without unnecessarily stiffening the entire construction.

Advanced technologies:

  • Standard Camber Profile: traditional camber between the bindings with rocker at the nose and tail provides control, responsiveness and easier turn initiation.
  • Directional Shape: a longer nose, shorter tail and setback stance provide natural, stable handling when riding in the primary direction.
  • Quadratic Sidecut: a blend of three radii improves turn initiation and exit while enhancing edge hold.
  • Linear Carbon: linear carbon reinforcement beneath the core increases pop and ollie power without significantly increasing overall board stiffness.
  • Slimewalls®: urethane sidewalls absorb vibrations and impacts, providing a smoother ride and increased durability.
  • Roll-In Construction: three-dimensional construction around the Slimewalls® increases durability, reduces topsheet chipping and helps lower weight.
  • Biaxial Fiberglass: fiberglass arranged at 0° and 90° provides an easier and more forgiving board feel.
  • Single Impact Plates: additional reinforcement under the bindings increases resistance to compression and damage around the inserts.
  • Foundation Core: an aspen wood core running from nose to tail provides durability while maintaining good pop and flex.
  • Extruded Base: a durable 1500 P-Tex base that absorbs wax well and is easy to repair.
  • Stone Ground Finish: factory stone-ground base finishing provides a smooth and even running surface.
  • Wend® Meadowfoam Biodegradable Wax: factory-applied biodegradable wax made using meadowfoam seed oil.
  • 30% Recycled Steel Edges: steel edges containing 30% recycled material.
Camber – a profile that provides strong edge hold, stability and dynamic pop, with rocker at the tips to make turn initiation easier. Directional – a longer nose, shorter tail and setback position help maintain stable and natural board handling.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Ride snowboards stand out?

Ride snowboards are designed with durability, precise handling and versatility in mind. The brand uses proprietary technologies such as Slimewalls®, Carbon Array™, Performance™ Core and various camber and rocker profiles to provide the right riding characteristics for every style of snowboarding.

How do I choose the right Ride snowboard length?

The most important factor is rider weight. The manufacturer provides recommended weight ranges for each board size. Height is a secondary factor and mainly affects individual preferences regarding how the board feels and handles.

When should I choose a Wide version?

Wide versions are designed for riders with larger snowboard boots. With most manufacturers, it is worth considering a Wide board from approximately EU size 44 and above to reduce the risk of toe or heel drag during turns.

Do Ride snowboards require regular maintenance?

Yes. Regular base waxing, along with checking and sharpening the edges, helps maintain high speed, reliable grip and extends the lifespan of the board. Service frequency depends on how intensively the board is used and on snow conditions.

How should I store the board outside the season?

After the season, it is worth cleaning the board thoroughly, protecting the base with a layer of wax and storing it in a dry place away from heat sources and direct sunlight. This will help the board retain its properties for the next season.

Where are Ride snowboards manufactured?

Ride has been working with some of the most renowned snowboard factories in the world for many years. Each board is made using high-quality materials and strict quality control, resulting in durability and consistent riding characteristics.
