Ride Moderator Snowboard

One board for the whole mountain – from fast groomers to deep powder

The Ride Moderator is a unisex directional all-mountain snowboard for intermediate and advanced riders looking for one board that performs well in a wide range of conditions. Its medium flex provides a good balance between control and freedom of movement, while the Extra Camber profile delivers energetic pop and stability while keeping the nose lifted enough for deeper snow.

Characteristics

Tapered Directional Extra Camber combines a directional shape with increased camber and a raised nose. This allows the Moderator to hold an edge confidently on hard snow, remain stable at higher speeds and deliver strong pop, while still providing the float needed in powder. The board is designed to be ridden at your regular snowboard length – no downsizing is required.

Smooth turns, strong edge hold and versatile performance

The Tapered Linear Quadratic Sidecut provides smooth turn initiation and strong support through the end of the turn without losing grip. Slim Walls construction improves energy transfer and vibration damping, while Carbon Array™ 3 increases board control and responsiveness. The Moderator performs equally well during fast runs on groomers, in softer and uneven terrain, and in powder.

Advanced technologies:

  • Extra Camber: increased camber provides energetic pop, quick response and stability during dynamic riding.
  • Directional Shape: a longer nose, shorter tail and setback stance provide stable handling and improved float in soft snow.
  • Linear Quadratic Sidecut: directional sidecut geometry provides smooth turn initiation, strong support through the exit of the turn and reliable edge hold.
  • Slim Walls: a three-dimensional composite construction around Slimewall® material improves energy transfer, reduces weight and effectively dampens vibrations.
  • Single Impact Plates: additional reinforcement under the bindings increases resistance to compression and damage around the inserts.
  • Carbon Array™ 3: carbon bands transfer energy from the binding area to the contact points, increasing control and responsiveness.
  • Hybrid Glass: triaxial fiberglass on top and biaxial fiberglass on the base side provide a balance of stiffness, torsional flex and responsiveness at higher speeds.
  • Pre-Cured Glass: pre-cured fiberglass provides a more consistent and predictable flex and stable board performance.
  • Performance™ Light Core: a lightweight core combining paulownia with durable aspen provides a good balance of low weight, responsiveness and durability.
  • Sintered 4000 Base: a hard and fast sintered base provides excellent durability and very good riding performance.
  • Stone Ground Finish: factory stone-ground base finishing provides a smooth and even running surface.
  • Standard Topsheet: a durable urethane topsheet protects the board construction during everyday use.
  • Bio Resin: resin using bio-based raw materials reduces the use of conventional petroleum-based materials.
  • Wend® Meadowfoam Biodegradable Wax: factory-applied biodegradable wax made using meadowfoam seed oil.
  • 30% Recycled Steel Edges: steel edges containing 30% recycled material.
Camber – a profile that provides energetic pop, stability and strong edge hold, with a raised nose improving float in soft snow. Directional – a longer nose, shorter tail and setback stance improve stability, handling and float in powder.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Ride snowboards stand out?

Ride snowboards are designed with durability, precise handling and versatility in mind. The brand uses proprietary technologies such as Slimewalls®, Carbon Array™, Performance™ Core and various camber and rocker profiles to provide the right riding characteristics for every style of snowboarding.

How do I choose the right Ride snowboard length?

The most important factor is rider weight. The manufacturer provides recommended weight ranges for each board size. Height is a secondary factor and mainly affects individual preferences regarding how the board feels and handles.

When should I choose a Wide version?

Wide versions are designed for riders with larger snowboard boots. With most manufacturers, it is worth considering a Wide board from approximately EU size 44 and above to reduce the risk of toe or heel drag during turns.

Do Ride snowboards require regular maintenance?

Yes. Regular base waxing, along with checking and sharpening the edges, helps maintain high speed, reliable grip and extends the lifespan of the board. Service frequency depends on how intensively the board is used and on snow conditions.

How should I store the board outside the season?

After the season, it is worth cleaning the board thoroughly, protecting the base with a layer of wax and storing it in a dry place away from heat sources and direct sunlight. This will help the board retain its properties for the next season.

Where are Ride snowboards manufactured?

Ride has been working with some of the most renowned snowboard factories in the world for many years. Each board is made using high-quality materials and strict quality control, resulting in durability and consistent riding characteristics.
