Ride Psychocandy Snowboard

WARPIG versatility in a more compact and smooth-riding design

The Ride Psychocandy is a unisex directional all-mountain snowboard based on the proven WARPIG concept. It combines a wide platform, excellent stability and strong edge hold with easy handling and good float in powder. The Psychocandy is designed to be ridden approximately 3–6 cm shorter than a standard snowboard while still maintaining stability and a generous surface area underfoot.

Characteristics

Zero Camber (flat) provides a stable, flat platform that remains predictable on groomers, in the park and in soft snow. The directional shape with a wider nose and setback stance improves float in powder, while the Tapered Bi-Radial Sidecut provides strong edge hold and smooth control through turns. The medium flex offers a good balance between control, responsiveness and freedom of movement.

One board for groomers, park and powder

The Psychocandy was designed as a versatile snowboard for a wide range of conditions. Its wide construction provides stable support for landings and carving, while Carbon Slimewalls® and Carbon Array™ 5 increase responsiveness and control without requiring an excessively stiff flex. This makes the board well suited to groomed runs, powder, slush, park and pipe.

Advanced technologies:

  • Zero Camber: a predominantly flat profile that provides stability, easy handling and a more forgiving ride.
  • Directional Shape: a longer nose, shorter tail and setback stance improve directional control and float in powder.
  • Tapered Bi-Radial Sidecut: geometry designed around the board’s wider shape improves edge hold, stability and control through turns.
  • Carbon Slimewalls®: urethane sidewalls reinforced with carbon increase responsiveness, stability and vibration damping.
  • Slimewalls®: flexible urethane sidewalls absorb impacts and vibrations while increasing construction durability.
  • Roll-In Construction: a three-dimensional construction around the Slimewalls® improves durability, reduces topsheet chipping and helps lower weight.
  • Carbon Array™ 5: carbon bands collect energy from the binding area and transfer it to the contact points, improving board control.
  • Carbon Infused Glass: carbon fibers integrated into the laminate increase pop and responsiveness without making the board excessively stiff.
  • Double Impact Plates: additional reinforcement under the bindings increases resistance to compression and damage around the inserts.
  • Performance™ Light Core: a lightweight core made from paulownia and durable aspen provides a good balance of low weight, responsiveness and durability.
  • Sintered 4000 Base: a fast and durable sintered base that provides excellent durability and riding performance.
  • Stone Ground Finish: factory stone-ground base finishing provides a smooth and even running surface.
  • Bio Resin: resin using bio-based raw materials reduces the use of conventional petroleum-based materials.
  • 30% Recycled Steel Edges: steel edges containing 30% recycled material.
Flat - a flat profile that provides stability, predictable handling and a more forgiving ride. Directional - a longer nose, shorter tail and setback position improve stability, control and float in powder.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Ride snowboards stand out?

Ride snowboards are designed with durability, precise handling and versatility in mind. The brand uses proprietary technologies such as Slimewalls®, Carbon Array™, Performance™ Core and various camber and rocker profiles to provide the right riding characteristics for every style of snowboarding.

How do I choose the right Ride snowboard length?

The most important factor is rider weight. The manufacturer provides recommended weight ranges for each board size. Height is a secondary factor and mainly affects individual preferences regarding how the board feels and handles.

When should I choose a Wide version?

Wide versions are designed for riders with larger snowboard boots. With most manufacturers, it is worth considering a Wide board from approximately EU size 44 and above to reduce the risk of toe or heel drag during turns.

Do Ride snowboards require regular maintenance?

Yes. Regular base waxing, along with checking and sharpening the edges, helps maintain high speed, reliable grip and extends the lifespan of the board. Service frequency depends on how intensively the board is used and on snow conditions.

How should I store the board outside the season?

After the season, it is worth cleaning the board thoroughly, protecting the base with a layer of wax and storing it in a dry place away from heat sources and direct sunlight. This will help the board retain its properties for the next season.

Where are Ride snowboards manufactured?

Ride has been working with some of the most renowned snowboard factories in the world for many years. Each board is made using high-quality materials and strict quality control, resulting in durability and consistent riding characteristics.
