Ride Shadowban Snowboard

One board for everything – from groomers to the park

The Ride Shadowban is a versatile all-mountain snowboard that combines a directional feel with the freedom of a twin. Its soft flex makes the board easy to control without requiring an aggressive riding style, while Standard Camber and Carbon Array™ 3 provide the right amount of pop, stability and responsiveness. It is a model for beginner and intermediate riders looking for one board for groomers, park laps and all-day riding in changing conditions.

Characteristics

The Shadowban features a symmetrical Twin shape with a slightly setback reference stance, combining easy switch riding with a more natural feel when riding forward. Standard Camber provides responsive pop and reliable edge hold without making the board overly demanding. The board performs well for classic all-mountain riding, switch riding and both first steps and further progression in the park.

Soft flex, pop and freedom of movement

The Quadratic Sidecut makes turn initiation and exit smooth while providing reliable edge hold. Carbon Array™ 3 improves energy transfer from the binding area to the contact points without unnecessarily increasing stiffness, so the Shadowban remains easy to handle while still delivering noticeable pop and good control during more dynamic riding.

Advanced technologies:

  • Standard Camber Profile: mild camber provides responsive pop, control and reliable edge hold without an overly aggressive feel.
  • Directional Twin: a symmetrical Twin shape with a slightly setback reference stance combines easy switch riding with a more natural feel when riding forward.
  • Quadratic Sidecut: a blend of three radii improves turn initiation and exit while providing reliable edge hold.
  • Slimewalls®: urethane sidewalls absorb impacts and vibrations, providing a smoother ride and high durability.
  • Roll-In Construction: three-dimensional construction around the Slimewalls® improves durability, reduces topsheet chipping and helps lower weight.
  • Double Impact Plates: additional reinforcement under the bindings increases resistance to compression and damage in high-stress areas.
  • Carbon Array™ 3: carbon bands transfer energy from the binding area to the contact points, increasing control and responsiveness.
  • Pre-Cured Glass: pre-cured fiberglass provides a more consistent and predictable flex and stable board performance.
  • Performance™ Core: a combination of durable aspen, bamboo and lightweight paulownia provides a good balance of low weight, responsiveness and durability.
  • Sintered 4000 Base: a hard and fast sintered base absorbs wax well and provides high durability.
  • Stone Ground Finish: factory stone-ground base finishing provides a smooth and even running surface.
  • Standard Topsheet: a durable urethane topsheet protects the board construction during everyday use.
  • Wend® Meadowfoam Biodegradable Wax: factory-applied biodegradable wax made using meadowfoam seed oil.
  • 30% Recycled Steel Edges: steel edges containing 30% recycled material.
Camber – a profile that provides reliable edge hold, stability and dynamic pop while maintaining a friendly and predictable ride. Directional Twin – a symmetrical nose and tail with a slightly setback stance combines easy switch riding with a more natural feel when riding forward.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes Ride snowboards stand out?

Ride snowboards are designed with durability, precise handling and versatility in mind. The brand uses proprietary technologies such as Slimewalls®, Carbon Array™, Performance™ Core and various camber and rocker profiles to provide the right riding characteristics for every style of snowboarding.

How do I choose the right Ride snowboard length?

The most important factor is rider weight. The manufacturer provides recommended weight ranges for each board size. Height is a secondary factor and mainly affects individual preferences regarding how the board feels and handles.

When should I choose a Wide version?

Wide versions are designed for riders with larger snowboard boots. With most manufacturers, it is worth considering a Wide board from approximately EU size 44 and above to reduce the risk of toe or heel drag during turns.

Do Ride snowboards require regular maintenance?

Yes. Regular base waxing, along with checking and sharpening the edges, helps maintain high speed, reliable grip and extends the lifespan of the board. Service frequency depends on how intensively the board is used and on snow conditions.

How should I store the board outside the season?

After the season, it is worth cleaning the board thoroughly, protecting the base with a layer of wax and storing it in a dry place away from heat sources and direct sunlight. This will help the board retain its properties for the next season.

Where are Ride snowboards manufactured?

Ride has been working with some of the most renowned snowboard factories in the world for many years. Each board is made using high-quality materials and strict quality control, resulting in durability and consistent riding characteristics.
