RIDE Specter Women’s 2027 Snowboard Bindings
Lightweight freestyle bindings with maximum freedom of movement
RIDE Specter 2027 are women’s snowboard bindings designed primarily for freestyle and park riding. RIDE classifies them as Mellow Response, giving riders plenty of freedom of movement, natural board flex and comfort during presses, butters, jibs and more technical freestyle riding.
The Specter is built around an A-Series aluminum chassis that combines low weight with direct energy transfer. The chassis is narrower than typical composite baseplates, allowing the snowboard to flex more naturally from nose to tail – especially useful for park and freestyle riding.
Characteristics
The soft character of the bindings allows for easier leg movement and greater freedom during tricks. The A-Series aluminum chassis maintains enough responsiveness for quick edge-to-edge transitions, while still being designed to flex under the rider’s weight instead of overly stiffening the snowboard.
The Specter focuses on a simple and lightweight construction. The Flat Nylon Highback features a flex and angle optimized for freestyle riding, while eliminating a traditional forward-lean adjustment block helps reduce weight and simplify the overall design.
Comfort, cushioning and fit
The Two-Piece Ankle Strap combines materials with different stiffness levels – a more responsive section provides support and stability, while the urethane section improves comfort and distributes pressure more evenly across the boot. The minimalist construction avoids unnecessary bulky padding while still providing secure support.
The Minimalist Toe Strap 2.0 sits closer to the boot, improving hold without unnecessary weight. It can be positioned over the toe cap or across the top of the boot.
The Canted Footbed helps place the knees and ankles in a more natural position, improving comfort and increasing leverage over the snowboard. The minimalist A-Series Diecut EVA layer also helps reduce vibration transferred from the board to the rider’s feet.
