Bataleon Whatever Unisex Snowboard
Who is it for? The Bataleon Whatever is made for riders who want one versatile snowboard for all-mountain, freestyle, and relaxed riding in different conditions. It works well on groomers, in the park, for carving, basic tricks, switch riding, and creative all-mountain freestyle. It is a great choice if you want a comfortable, forgiving, and highly adaptable board with camber-driven pop, but without an overly aggressive or demanding feel.
A versatile Directional Twin for all-mountain riding
Bataleon Whatever is one of the most versatile boards in the Bataleon line. The Directional Twin shape gives more stability and confidence in your regular riding direction, while still allowing switch riding and freestyle movement. With a 5/10 flex, the board is stable enough for faster riding, yet still comfortable, predictable, and easy to control in everyday snowboarding.
3BT™ – smoother riding and more forgiveness
The Whatever uses 3BT™ Triple Base Technology, Bataleon’s signature three-dimensional base shaping. The nose and tail sidebase uplift are both set to Medium, making the board smoother from edge to edge and more forgiving during tricks, landings, and direction changes. It is still a camber board with good pop and edge hold, but with a looser, less catchy feel.

Key technologies and benefits
- 3BT™ Triple Base Technology: three-dimensional base shaping that improves smoothness and reduces edge catch.
- SideKick™: increased sidebase uplift near the nose and tail for smoother edge-to-edge transitions and better versatility.
- Light Core: lightweight woodcore made with poplar and paulownia, offering a good balance of low weight, strength, and lively flex.
- D.S.T. SuperTubes™: carbon tubes positioned along the sides of the board to increase pop, response, and energy through turns.
- Carbon Stringers: carbon reinforcement used to improve snap, stability, and board response.
- Flex Walls: polyurethane sidewalls that improve durability and help smooth out the ride on uneven snow.
- Bi-Ax Laminate: two-way fiberglass laminate that gives a more natural flex and an easy, playful board feel.
- Hyper Glide S: durable and fast sintered base that performs best with regular waxing.
Medium Camber and Directional Twin shape
The Whatever uses Medium Camber for energetic pop, stability, and reliable edge hold during dynamic riding. The 3D Directional Twin shape combines twin-style versatility with more confidence in your main riding direction, making the board well suited for both all-mountain and freestyle riding.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the Bataleon Whatever be used as one board for everything?
Yes, the Whatever is one of Bataleon’s most versatile models. It works well for all-mountain riding, groomers, freestyle, switch riding, and softer snow. It is not a dedicated freeride board or a very aggressive high-speed model, but as an all-around snowboard for different conditions, it performs very well.
How is the Whatever different from the Evil Twin?
The Evil Twin is a more park-focused true twin, designed mainly for freestyle, switch riding, and snowpark use. The Whatever has a Directional Twin shape, which makes it more versatile for all-mountain riding and gives more confidence in your regular riding direction while still keeping a freestyle feel.
Is the Whatever good for park riding?
Yes. The 5/10 flex, 3BT™, camber profile, and freestyle personality make the Whatever suitable for jumps, basic tricks, switch riding, and creative freestyle. It is not a super soft jib board, but it gives plenty of freedom for freestyle riding.
Does 3BT™ help prevent edge catches?
Yes. The lifted sidebase zones make the Whatever more forgiving during edge changes, tricks, and landings. At the same time, Medium Camber still gives pop, stability, and reliable edge hold.
